About Majeed Kalandariya
From hardship to hope — a teacher shaping young minds with courage, kindness, and wisdom.

My Journey
I was only four when my father passed away. At that moment, life could have left me lost forever, but one woman stood as my protector — my grandmother, Asiya. With courage and sacrifice, she carried me to Kalandariya Orphanage, believing it would give me the shelter and future I deserved.
As a child, what I longed for most was simple: a hug, care, and love. There were days I wished someone would hold me close and tell me I was not alone. I could not afford new clothes; I grew up without the comforts others enjoyed — but those very hardships shaped me. Like fire shaping steel, they forged resilience, discipline, and an unbreakable spirit.
At the orphanage, I was blessed with guiding lights. Shaikhuna Hamza Usthad was more than a teacher — a guardian and mentor who looked after me with patience and compassion when my grandmother entrusted me there.
And I was not guided by him alone. I was surrounded by teachers from different walks of life who became far more than educators. They were mentors, companions, and a family of the heart. I spoke to them about everything, and before each step I took, they blessed me, guided me, and stood by me.
“I was once a child longing for a hug, care, and love. Today, I carry that longing forward — embracing every child I teach, and every reader I write for.”
What My Story Means
Strength from Hardship
Even when comfort is gone, hope can remain — and grow stronger.
Love Beyond Labels
Teachers from different walks of life can become family of the heart.
Guidance into Purpose
Care and blessings can shape a destiny — and inspire a life of service.
Today
With the blessings of my grandmother Asiya, my mentor Shaikhuna Hamza Usthad, and teachers from many paths, I graduated from Jamia Nooriya Arabic University as Faizy and returned to Kalandariya Orphanage as a teacher. I now give children not only knowledge, but also the dignity, encouragement, and care I once longed for.
My Mission
My journey has taught me that every child deserves knowledge, dignity, and love. Through my teaching and storytelling, I aim to ignite courage, spread kindness, and leave behind lessons that last far beyond the classroom or the page.
Stories that guide. Lessons that inspire. Hope that endures.
